Christmas

As the holiday gets nearer, I want to have a good Christmas, memorable, magical, etc. Not everyone had those kind of Christmases as a child, and some need it as an adult.  Christmas is for everyone, young and old, religious or not, it should be a time of joy, but yet for many it's a time of pain, often due to loss of family, friends, or other circumstances.  If you see someone down, offer well wishes, and if you can, a hand up.  That said, always suggest caution with panhandlers, some are truly in need, some are taking advantage of folks.  Instead donate to an organization that helps them and their situation, as you know then how that will be spent.

Also consider donating to things you are passionate about, animals shelters, community resource groups etc.

Of course we would love donation to keep our project running, but we always manage somehow even when we run significantly into the red doing all this work.  So If you have a few dollars to spare you can support us too, that money goes back into the project one way or another.

Remember this is the season of giving, not the season of taking.

Additionally do a favor to all the kids out there, don't make the high dollar presents "from Santa" as those in lesser privileged situations those kids may not be so lucky to get that expensive item "from Santa" and may cause them much distress when "Tommy" got a PS5 pro from Santa, and "Timmy" Only gets clothing.... You get the idea I hope.  This is too common of a situation I have heard from many, and it just breaks my heart to see it.  We are all for "Santa" gifts, but be reasonable, and the expensive gifts from Mom/Dad to show them that you are doing well enough to get that for them instead.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, have a great holiday season.
