This week, some areas west of the Cascade mountains, got their first taste of lowland snow.  This is a very early first snow, as it is not even December and still officially autumn.  This definitely has had impact on many displays and is causing some delays in opening days for some.

Please be patient with displays as they take the next day or two to evaluate any property damage that may impact their displays.  The will be open soon, and there is plenty of time to enjoy them.

Stay Safe Everyone.

Tis the week of numerous displays opening nights.

Biggest thing to consider is opening night can be buggy or have technical issues, as may display owners may be running the full show for the first full time that night.

Please be patient with them, as they work out the last kinks in the setups, after a day or two most will have worked out any technical issues they are having.

Also please follow any directions, posted at the display, stay on paths (if applicable), stay OUT of the display.  Keep pets away from displays, except on public right of ways (sidewalks, etc), unless otherwise noted.

In general just be safe, and respectful of the displays, as they are private property, and put on the display for the entire communities enjoyment, please don’t ruin it for everyone else, because you chose to do something that shouldn’t have been done at that display.  The display owner can choose to shut-off the display at their discrection.

More of the map keeps getting confirmed.

Todays confirmations are brought to you by the great country of Canada.

We were able to confirm 95% of our Canadian displays, and visit a few along on the way that were up and running before December.

It was a crazy long day and night, and border crossing took what seemed like forever.  It was worth it, as that area of the map has been lacking in the last couple of years, due to global events and shutdowns.

We’re hoping to see more and more add and confirm for the map in the coming days.  Then comes the big push in December.

This will be a great season!!

Here we are, the day before turkey day in the USA….

I sit here and wonder if anyone actually reads this blog, as it is.

Hearing many displays are being delayed this year, due to weather impacts or other technical issues.  Even still we are looking forward to a good season of lights.

We hope those of you in the US have a good Thanksgiving, and if you do so, have successfully shopping on Black Friday.

Our team is looking to go visit displays, if we can, as the traffic to them will likely be light, as only a few are lighting up Thursday, and Friday.

Well… Here we go….

Map went Live today for public viewing, even while it is still a work in progress.  Hopefully we will get community assistance with verification of some of the remaining displays.

We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but this is going to be a great season.  300 or so already confirmed, so that is a great start since the only display open, that we know of, is at the zoo.

Residential/home displays will start lighting up this weekend, with a bunch more Thanksgiving weekend, and then a big wave come December 1.

We are ready for this ride, but we don’t know where it’s going to take us, yet.
